  We have travelled to Ladakh several times, and with every visit, Dorjay has become more than just the person who arranges our holidays — he has become someone we trust completely and genuinely look forward to reconnecting with. He is now our go-to person for every Ladakh trip, and we cannot imagine exploring this beautiful region without him. All we have to do is to let Dorjay know whenever we are coming down, and everything will be arranged superbly from the moment we land in Leh to the moment we return home. We had just travelled Zanskar Valley from 27/8-4/9. Dorjay looked after everything with so much warmth, patience and personal care. He took the time to understand what we wanted and planned the most wonderful holiday for us, thoughtfully choosing beautiful luxury accommodations and ensuring that every detail was handled perfectly. Nothing ever felt rushed or impersonal. We always felt that our comfort, happiness and experience truly mattered to him. What touches us most is the way Dorjay constantly checked in on us throughout the journey. He was always there to make sure we were comfortable, enjoying ourselves and that everything was going well. His kindness and genuine concern made us feel less like clients and more like friends travelling through Ladakh together. That personal connection is something we will always cherish. We would also like to give a very special mention to our wonderful driver, Asgadh, who drove us tirelessly throughout Zanskar. The journeys were long, challenging and sometimes demanding, but Asgadh was always patient, calm, careful and dependable. He drove with great skill and made sure we reached every destination safely and comfortably. Beyond that, his quiet kindness, helpful nature and reassuring presence made us feel completely at ease. We are deeply grateful for everything he did for us. Ladakh is a place that stays in your heart forever, but our journeys have been made even more meaningful because of the people who have cared for us along the way. Dorjay gave us more than a beautifully organised holiday — he gave us memories filled with warmth, trust and genuine human connection. We are truly grateful to him for always making our time in Ladakh so special and unforgettable. We wholeheartedly recommend Dorjay to anyone planning a trip to Ladakh. • 58-days Ladakh tour with our driver Gulzar: unforgettable experience

  We decide to visit Ladakh without a good preparation since a little bit in a hurry, this is the reason why we asked for a full support to Active Adventure agency. Before reviewing the solution offered by the agency that has been impeccable I really want to spent my feedback on what makes our travel a special experience. Our driver Gulzar, a smart guy with a good English adds something special to our trip. He takes care about of us every day with strong professionalism and deep love for his job; even when we got some health troubles he was there, giving supports and help. During the trip he gave us appreciated details about places we were visiting, he showed special spots out of standard route, he was very patient with our several stops for taking pictures and our Italian music, he passed his passion for nature bringing us in a unforgettable experience with a lot of fun. The quality of the support offered by the agency has been really appreciated, I asked for some modifications to the first plan, including additional stops and a motorbike self-drive tour to Chardung La pass. The agency demonstrated flexibility, punctuality on the communications and very professionalism. I strongly suggest for everyone is thinking about a travel in extraordinary landscapes between high mountains and amazing lakes, the energy on Buddhism Monasteries and Ladakhi food to set a travel with Active Adventure requiring driver Gulzar for having the best!

• 5Memorable experience in Ladakh

  We were in Ladakh for 10 days and overall the experience was wonderful. Dorjay did an amazing job accommodating our multiple changes to the itinerary, starting with a visa delay and required a last minute rescheduling of our arrival, and again when we managed to squeeze in a last minute blessing by the Dalai Lama. Our guide Chos was wonderful - she spoke good English and was funny, helpful, knowledgeable and insightful especially during our visits to the monasteries and temples. Her sharp eyes helped spot many animals we would have otherwise missed. Our drivers, especially Soman who drove us most of the time, were also great and accommodated our multiple requests for stops to take photos of the scenery, marmots and blue sheep. The vehicles provided for our trip were a comfortable size and kept clean every day. Overall the experience was fantastic and the people warm and friendly.

• 5A memorable trip

  We had the most remarkabe 10 day tour organised by Dorjay with a great driver and guide. We were well looked after from airport pickup to drop off. The trip included going over the Khardung La and Wari La passes, explorations of the Sham valley, Nubra valley and Sakti. We visited monasteries large and small, villages and palaces all with the backdrop of the most amazing mountains. permits were all organised for us. The accommodation was excellent, and the tour exceeded our expectations. Thank you!

About Leh

Leh, the main town of Ladakh high in the Himalaya, is a Buddhist trading centre with a hilltop palace, monasteries and desert mountain scenery.

Leh stands at about 3,500 metres in the Indus Valley, with bare brown mountains around it and snow ranges behind. The nine-storey Leh Palace, built in the 17th century in the style of the Potala in Lhasa, overlooks the old town, and the Namgyal Tsemo monastery crowns the ridge above it. The Shanti Stupa, a white-domed peace pagoda, has views across the valley.
