• 5An unforgettable 2-day Kruger Park safari perfectly organized by Tours Maputo

  Our 2-day safari to Kruger National Park in South Africa on September 19th and 20th, 2026, was extremely well organized from start to finish. Transfers & Driver: The transfers were flawless. Our driver, Charles, was very professional, punctual, and made the journey safe and comfortable. Agency Team: Tunelga and Ludmilla from the agency were extremely helpful and efficient during the organization and booking process. Safari Guide/Ranger: Ranger Winston, from the partner South African agency they worked with for the safari itself, was exceptional. He worked very hard and went above and beyond to show us as many animals as possible. I completely recommend Tours Maputo for anyone wanting a seamless and wonderful safari experience.

• 5Exceptional trip, well worth the cost

  EXCEPTIONAL TRIP, not to be missed Fantastic door to door service We had an early pick up from our hotel in a comfortable car as far as Kruger gate where we transferred to a safari truck. Our park guide, Doctor, had an encyclopedic knowledge of the park flora and forna. We were so impressed by him, he could even make the right animal noises to bring them back in to sight if they had disappeared in to the bush. The overnight lodge was a beautiful building. It’s worth staying up a while on your balcony to spot bush babies and listen to the roaring hippos.

• 5Big 5 Safari from Maputo !

  Great time at Kruger National Park ! Picked up from Maputo by Charles, a great professional driver and aided in the crossing of the border in South Africa. Total trip time to Kruger was roughly 3 hours including passport control. From there I was met by Doctor, my guide for two days who over the two days shared great insight into all of the animals we managed to spot, including all of the big 5! Two full days out exploring, including lunch for both days. For the overnight stay l was hosted in Crocodile Kruger Safari lodge, a lodge down the river with river views in Marloth Park, nice cosy and quiet lodge with dinner included. Overall a perfect two days and would definitely recommend this trip and Maputo tours if in the region! Many thanks !

• 4Good exprience

  The transfer Alfainho, was amazing support us all the way. Very nice, educated and very helpfull. The guide Mike had a good knowledge of the wild life but passed a lot of times in the same roads and we saw the same animals. The lodge for the Staying was good, nice food, good rooms and view for the Krüger park. Overall a very good experience that we recomende.

• 5Perfect weekend trip to Kruger

  Would highly recommend this two-day trip of Kruger National Park from Maputo. Everything from pick-up at our Airbnb in Maputo to crossing the border and exploring the park went extremely smoothly. Our driver, Alfainho, was professional and kind. Our guide, Mercy, was extremely personable and has > 8 years as a Kruger park ranger and tour guide and drove safely around the park, helping us spot lions, a leopard, and countless other animals. She introduced to South African food as well as told us stories about her past experience as a ranger. Food and drink at all stops were paid for and made for well-timed breaks. Would definitely choose this group again next time I return to Kruger.

About Maputo

Maputo is the capital of Mozambique, a seaside city of tree-lined avenues, Portuguese-era buildings, lively markets and fresh prawns.

Maputo sits on a bay of the Indian Ocean in the far south of Mozambique, and until 1976 it was called Lourenço Marques. Its grid of wide avenues is lined with jacaranda and acacia trees and with colonial buildings of the early twentieth century, among them the domed railway station and the City Hall. The old Fortress, a stone fort begun in the eighteenth century, stands near the port, and the Central Market is a large hall of fruit, fish and spices.
