Theoktisti Monastery is one of Ikaria's most beautiful and unique places. It is hidden in a peaceful pine forest near the village of Pigi. The monastery is famous for its small chapel built inside a natural cave and for the huge old oak tree that grows over it, making it look like nature is protecting the monastery.
The Afianes family blends ancient traditions with modern techniques to produce award-winning wines that capture the spirit of the island.
Our journey continues to Tsantiris Winery, where a love for winemaking has been passed down through four generations.
