Helsinki has more than 130 kilometres of shoreline and during the Evening Cruise you will see the shores and beaches of southern and eastern Helsinki. You can buy cold beverages and light snacks from the Boat Café. You can sit indoors at the cosy cafeteria or enjoy the cruise at the large sundeck of the boat. There is no commentary on board, just relaxing background music. You can follow the route from the route maps which are available on the boat.

Helsinki Evening cruise starts at the Market Square by the yellow SIGHTSEEING flags. Please arrive to the departure point latest 15 minutes before the cruise starts.

Route runs along the shores of Katajanokka. The most prominent feature is the magnificent golden-domed Uspenski Cathedral, the largest Orthodox church in northern and western Europe. You will also see one of Helsinki's landmarks, the icebreakers. The six icebreakers are called Voima, Sisu, Urho, Kontio, Otso and Polaris.

Mustikkamaa and Kalasatama are connected by a white Isoisänsilta bridge, named after the fisherman Viktor Wilhelm Wickman, who lived in Mustikkamaa.

About Helsinki
Helsinki is Finland's capital on the Baltic, a compact seaside city of neoclassical squares, Art Nouveau streets, design shops and saunas.
The white neoclassical Helsinki Cathedral looks down on Senate Square, and the red-brick Uspenski Cathedral stands on a rocky headland to the east. Carl Ludvig Engel planned the city centre in the early nineteenth century after Finland passed to Russia, and Art Nouveau houses line the streets of Katajanokka and Eira. The Market Square on the harbour front has stalls of fish, berries and crafts, with the Old Market Hall nearby.
