About Nanjing
Nanjing, on the Yangtze in Jiangsu, was the capital of several dynasties and holds Ming tombs, city walls and a mountain mausoleum.
Nanjing has been a capital of China many times, most notably under the first Ming emperor and again in the Republican era.
