1. Your adventure begins at the meeting point, where I’ll welcome you and give you a brief introduction to Egypt’s history as we head toward the desert area near the Giza Pyramids. Once we arrive, you’ll be set up with your quad bike and given a simple, clear overview of how to ride safely. Then it’s time to start your desert adventure—speed across the soft sands and enjoy the famous panoramic view of the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mekerinos. You’ll be close to the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx while enjoying an exciting and memorable quad experience. After the ride, we’ll explore the local area where you’ll see how ancient Egyptians made papyrus from plants, learn how natural flowers are transformed into essential oils at the oil factory, and visit a traditional bazaar to watch how cartouches are crafted. Please note: the quad bike ride is outside the historical area, but the Pyramids are clearly visible throughout the experience.

About Giza

Giza, on the edge of Cairo, is home to the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx and a desert plateau that has drawn travellers for thousands of years.

The plateau holds three great pyramids, built for the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, along with smaller queens' pyramids and rows of nobles' tombs. The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing, and the Great Sphinx keeps watch below, carved from the bedrock beside Khafre's valley temple.
