Your Egyptologist guide will meet you at your Luxor hotel or Nile Cruise lobby to start your tour of the Luxor Museum. Next, we will proceed to the Luxor Mummification Museum, which opened to the public in 1997. This small museum showcases a collection of human and animal mummies, as well as the tools and techniques used in the mummification process. You will learn about the ancient Egyptian belief that mummification was a crucial step in achieving eternal life and see examples of objects traditionally buried with the deceased.
Afterwards, you will get the chance to explore the Luxor tourist Souq, where you can have some free time to shop and haggle with local vendors for unique handcrafted souvenirs. Once you finish, you will be transported back to your hotel in Luxor.
