Mayura (Mayura Water Palace) is a historic park and former royal garden located in Cakranegara, Mataram City, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Built in 1744 by King A.A. Ngurah Karangasem of the Karangasem Kingdom (which had influence over Lombok), it served as both a pleasure garden and a justice pavilion for the royal court. Its main highlight is a large, artificial central pond with a floating pavilion called "Bale Kambang." This pavilion was used by the king to hold meetings and settle legal disputes. Lombok, an Indonesian island east of Bali, is a land of sandy beaches, rice fields and the high volcano Rinjani, quieter than its famous neighbour.
