About Salalah
Salalah is the main city of Dhofar in southern Oman, a palm-fringed coastal plain known for its monsoon-green summers, frankincense and ancient ruins.

Coconut and banana plantations line the roads, an unusual sight on the Arabian Peninsula. The city was the birthplace of the late Sultan Qaboos, and a mosque bearing his name stands in the town.
