A huge staggered pyramid known as El Castillo (The Castle in English), from where the 6.5 square km of the ancient city can be seen. The carvings in stone survive as structures like the campo de pelota (ball field), the Templo de los Guerreros (Temple of the Warriors) and the Muro de las Calaveras (The Skulls Wall).

About Playa del Carmen
