Accompanied by a member of our team, you will journey through time in all the philosophical movements of ancient Greece and discover deep connections with our Myths and Gods of Olympus. Democracy, physics, astronomy, ethics and many other applied sciences stem from philosophy and, naturally, philosophers are considered the world’s first intellectuals. Through a 4 hour private walking tour you will learn every interesting fact about philosophers from Thales of Miletus to Socrates and Plato, and from Aristotle to the Cynic philosopher Diogenes of Sinope, whose famous answer towards Alexander the Great “Stand out of my sunlight”, when he was asked whether there was any favour he might do for him, is indicative of his character. You will get acquainted with the most important myths of the ancient greek world such as the story behind the birth of goddess Athena and everything around mischievous god Hermes.

You will see the Trilogy of Athens and journey through time in all the philosophical movements of ancient Greece!

In front of the Hellenic Parliament, you will witness one of the oldest traditions in Greece, the Changing of the Presidential Guard.
Walk around the garden and learn about democracy, physics, astronomy, ethics and many other applied sciences which stem from the Greek philosophy.

The area is named after the Church of the Pantanassa that is located within the square.
Ancient Agora is the place where Stoic philosophy was born in the Poikile Stoa.
While admiring the famous Tower of Winds, we will learn everything about Aiolos, the keeper of the winds.
In Plaka area and Anafiotika, on the foot of the Acropolis, you will learn about the Cinic philosophers!
The tour will be concluded on the Areopagus hill with a breathtaking view of the Acropolis and myths about the Olympian gods!

About Athens
Athens sets the Acropolis above a sprawling modern capital, where ancient ruins, hillside lanes and long taverna evenings sit side by side.
The Parthenon crowns the Acropolis, flanked by the Erechtheion and its porch of caryatids, and the Acropolis Museum at the foot of the hill displays sculpture found on the rock.
