We meet in Pisco Elqui and leave for a place called the island a solitary and clear skied area inside the mountain 15 minutes away to soon enjoy a unique ASTRO-EXPERIENCE amidst a log fire inside an amphitheatre with a homemade pisco sour whilst listening to our bilingual tour guide. Commencing with an astronomy talk inside the amphitheatre incorporating an observation program of 7 celestial objects approximately through our professional telescope, complemented by enjoyable interactions, understanding and identifying objects in the sky with the naked eye.

5Time with the stars
Wonderful tour of the skies. The Pisco sour while learning about the stars was a nice treat and the staff are top notch you can see their enthusiasm for their work. Each person has several times at the scope without feeling rushed and I won’t spoil the last view. Out of this world. English translator was perfect. Thank you
5Breathtaking views of the night sky
Great experience to see the amazing night sky, with help from a knowledgeable guide. The tour has a spot in the mountains where they have a 20” telescope. It is hard to describe the night sky in this place, truly out of this world. When this is combined with the largest telescope and the experience that the guid brings, the result is truly breathtaking. They offer a drink of pisco or juice when looking at the sky. I visited in September (end of the winter in South America) and it was cold, about 9 degrees Celsius. I would much prefer a hot tea, it truly would have made the experience more enjoyable to sip on a hot drink.

Skies in the region are amazing and star gazing is a must while traveling through Valle del Elqui, Turismo Migrante made this experience super special, very knowledgeable team, tasty pisco sour to star and a beautiful sky to complete the tour. They also have a photographer that will capture this amazing moment for your group included on the price!!! Great package, and you can always come back during different seasons to check the change on the sky!!

The tour was very nice and it was possible to appreciate the constellations, milky way and also Saturn in the telescope. Pisco Sour included is a plus and our guide was very clear explaning everything.
5enjoy the stars in the amazing night sky of north Chile
very nice location for the observation with a comfortable shuttle bus service. Etienne take care to introduce to the audience the basic concept of astronomy necessary to enjoy the view beside a welcome aperitief that help the "team building" among the guests. the optic telescope used is proper to provide a clear an amazing view of the night sky. a picture with a long exposure camera of each of the participants with the night sky in the background is as well included in the tour.
5Unforgettable stargazing in Pisco Elqui
We had a wonderful experience stargazing on our first night in Pisco Elqui! Our guide, Etienne provided a tremendous amount of information on astronomy and pointed out constellations, nebulae, the Milky Way, and even the ISS. Francisca was our English translator, which we highly recommend because we would have missed out on a lot of interesting information. We also had our photo taken under the Milky Way and received an amazing digital copy in a couple of days. We highly recommend Astro Experience!

About Pisco Elqui
Pisco Elqui, a village in the Elqui Valley of northern Chile, is ringed by vineyards and desert mountains, with distilleries and clear night skies.
Pisco Elqui lies high in the Elqui Valley, in Chile's Coquimbo region, at the end of a road that climbs inland from La Serena and Vicuña. The village was called La Unión until 1936, when it took the name of the spirit made from the valley's grapes. Muscat vines cover the valley floor and climb terraces up barren brown slopes, and small distilleries in and around the village offer tours and tastings.
