After a night of rest at our cozy hotel in Saint Catherine, we are ready to embark on a thrilling new day of adventure. Rise and shine, for we have an early start to catch the spectacular sunrise atop the majestic Moses Mountain! Gaze in wonder at the breathtaking vista unfolding before you as the sun slowly rises, illuminating the world below in a golden hue. Take in the surreal beauty of the rugged mountain landscape, as you breathe in the fresh mountain air and revel in the sense of awe that this natural wonder inspires.
Once we have descended from the mountain, we continue our journey with a visit to the awe-inspiring Monastery of Saint Catherine. This ancient Christian monastery was constructed in the 5th century by the Roman Emperor Justinian, at the very spot where Moses is said to have witnessed the burning bush. Over the centuries, it has been dedicated to Saint Catherine - a revered martyr who met her untimely end in Alexandria.
After our visit to the monastery, we bid farewell to Saint Catherine and begin our return journey to Cairo. But first, let's stop for a scrumptious lunch break at the picturesque Ras Sedr.
