Daman is situated 80 kilometers south- west of Kathmandu at an altitude of about 2100 m located on the Tribhuvan Highway, in between Kathmandu and the town to Birgunj. Daman is known for its vantage location in viewing the Himalayan peaks such as Mt. There is a view tower fitted with long range telescopes to see the 360 degree Himalayas view. Getting to Daman is from Kathmandu takes 2 and half hour to 3 hour drive by car or bus.
