見どころ

Seeing turtles lay their eggs is a truly unforgettable experience, and Corozalito offers a more serene and intimate setting to witness it. While massive arrivals may occasionally occur, they are rare—what makes Corozalito special is its more consistent turtle activity throughout the season. Turtles always return to the same beach where they were born to nest, which makes each sighting even more meaningful. Depending on the timing, local guides will do everything possible to help you observe this incredible natural event. You may see nesting turtles, and if you're lucky, even witness hatchlings making their first journey to the ocean.

About Sámara

Sámara is a relaxed Pacific beach town on Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula, with a calm crescent bay sheltered by a reef and a small island.

Sámara sits on a wide, curved bay on the Pacific coast of the Nicoya Peninsula, in Guanacaste province. A coral reef and the small island of Chora shelter the beach, so the water inside is calm and shallow, good for swimming and for learning to surf. Palm trees line the sand, and the streets behind hold small hotels, cafés, and surf and yoga schools.
