About Tulsa
Tulsa is a north-eastern Oklahoma city on the Arkansas River, an oil boomtown with an Art Deco downtown, Route 66 sights and major museums.
Tulsa stands on the Arkansas River in north-eastern Oklahoma and boomed in the early twentieth century as the Oil Capital of the World. Its wealth built the Art Deco towers of downtown and Boston Avenue Methodist Church, a landmark of 1929, and the city keeps a notable collection of Art Deco buildings.
