Our staff is lifeguard certified. We provide insurance for our guests and staff. We are registered with the local authorities and pay taxes that help our community. We are proud to be one of few places that pay a living wage to our staff. Our staff is 100% Costa Rican - you support local people and families with your experience!

About Sámara

Sámara is a relaxed Pacific beach town on Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula, with a calm crescent bay sheltered by a reef and a small island.

Sámara sits on a wide, curved bay on the Pacific coast of the Nicoya Peninsula, in Guanacaste province. A coral reef and the small island of Chora shelter the beach, so the water inside is calm and shallow, good for swimming and for learning to surf. Palm trees line the sand, and the streets behind hold small hotels, cafés, and surf and yoga schools.
