The activity place is probably the most beautiful place in Portimão, the entrance of the Arade River is done by two long gettys that allow you to paddle along the river with safety and pleasure. The departure point is on Marina Portimão Beach, very well known by his famous club " Nosolo Aqua" than we depart for the other side of the river, Praia Grande at Ferragudo, on that beach, we can rest a bit and enjoy the nice view of Castelo de S. João, fort from the XVIII century. After that, we cross back the river in the direction off Marina boats entrance and we come back to the marina beach, paddling across the marina pier.

About Portimão
Portimão is a river port and fishing town on the western Algarve, with sardine grills by the quay and the sandy bays and red cliffs of Praia da Rocha.
Portimão sits at the mouth of the Arade River, and its long history of fishing and fish canning shaped the town. The old cannery now houses the town's museum, which records that trade, and the riverfront quay has rows of grills where sardines are cooked in the open air. Across the water is Ferragudo, a village of white houses with the Santa Catarina fortress at the river mouth.
