The tour starts outside the tourist information at Nordre gate 11 and within minutes you will experience the nice breeze from the fjord, followed by churches and riverbanks, The famous Nidaros Cathedral, the iconic boathouses and wharves, Tyholt tower, Kristiansten fortress from the year 1685, cozy Bakklandet with its wooden houses and so much more. This tour is perfect when time is of the essence and you want to make the most of it, or as a start off to get a good overlook of the city with all its different sights. The tour can also end at a location, restaurant, attraction of your liking.
We will have a great view of the Fortress along the route. A detour up to the Fortress can also be made if wanted.
Along the route we will cross the bridge for a wonderful view of the river and the famous red arch of the bridge.
Walking or jogging in these charming old streets is always a pleasure.

About Trondheim
Trondheim is a historic city on a fjord in central Norway, with a great medieval cathedral, a wooden-house quarter on the river and many students.
Trondheim stands where the Nidelva river bends into the Trondheimsfjord, and was founded by the Viking king Olav Tryggvason in 997. Nidaros Cathedral, built over the grave of St Olav, is the largest medieval building in Scandinavia, with a richly carved west front, and pilgrims have walked to it for centuries. Across the Old Town Bridge, Bakklandet has timber houses painted in bright colours and cafés, and old wooden warehouses stand on stilts along the river.
