1. Taj Mahal. An enormous tomb of white marble, worked in Agra somewhere in the range of 1631 and 1648 by request of the Mughal sovereign Shah Jahan in memory of his most loved spouse, the Taj Mahal is the gem of Muslim workmanship in India and one of the all around appreciated magnum opuses of the world's legacy.

2. Agra Fort was started by Akbar somewhere in the range of 1565 and 1573. It is arranged on the west bank of the Jumna River, about 2km upstream from the Taj Mahal (outline). Akbar assembled the post of sandstone; his grandson Shah Jahan, the developer of the Taj Mahal, built royal residences of white marble inside the fortification itself.
