The 196-foot-tall (60-meter) structure, the name of which translates to 'high palace,' is a popular platform from which to gaze over the archeological wonders of Old Bagan, offering spectacular panoramic views unique to this area. Once you have arrived at the Viewing Tower, the staff will offer you a warm welcome before taking you to your seat in the dining room outdoors. About Nyaung U
Nyaung-U is the town beside the Bagan temple plain on the Irrawaddy River in central Myanmar, a base for thousands of ancient pagodas.
Nyaung-U lies on the east bank of the Irrawaddy River in central Myanmar, at the north-eastern edge of the Bagan archaeological zone, which holds more than two thousand surviving temples and pagodas from the 11th to 13th centuries.
