- Follow E45 south out of Alta. Continue on E45 until you see signs for Gargia. Turn onto Gargiaveien and drive approximately 12 kilometers. Look for a sign to Bollo on your left slightly before you get to Gargiaveien 56; this is where you'll find the starting point for the tour and where you can park

About Alta
Alta is a town in Arctic Norway, known for ancient rock carvings, the northern lights, midnight sun and a great salmon river running to a fjord.
Alta lies at the head of Altafjord in Finnmark, the northernmost county of mainland Norway, where pine and birch forests give way to open mountain plateau. Its rock art, thousands of carvings of reindeer, boats and people made between about 4000 BC and 500 BC, is listed by UNESCO, and the Alta Museum explains it with boardwalk trails around the carved rock faces. The Northern Lights Cathedral, a spiralling titanium-clad church, is a landmark in the centre.
