5A wonderful time!
Unfortunately we didn’t see much of the Rau forest, as one of us is having trouble walking, but the guides tried very hard to make that work, even bringing along a chair to rest in. What we DID experience was the cooking class with Mama Matalo. What a wonderful time! We helped with the preparation, including making coconut milk, then we watched as they masterfully created six delicious dishes over a fire. It was a lot of fun and very interesting. Also delicious!

5Definately recommend!
It was an experience I would definately recommend! The cooking class with mama was incredible. She showed me how to make a lot of dishes and we went to visit the market. The walk around Rau forest was also a very informative. I really enjoyed, especially when we arrived at the hidden ricefields. The view is just incredible!

5Amazing walk among the trees of the Rau forest
It was a great experience, the walk in the Rau forest felt magical. We saw many monkeys (colobes and blue monkey) and our guide Nassoro taught us a lot of things about plants and insect. Go with this tour without any hesitation !

5Fantastic pure nature
Amazing pure experience with Linus, our guide, who picked us up at 9 for a hike through the forest. We had a great walk followed by lunch at a local. The hike was fantastic, such a great guide, told us a lot but also very sensitive to what happened in the forest. We even had medication in the forest. We saw monkeys, dig dig, caribous, African flycatcher, owls, spiders, many beautiful butterflies and many trees and flowers. The deeper we went in the forest the more it talked to us. We also walked the ricefields where e saw frogs, birds, praying mentis, lizards, dragonflies. We finished the walk at a local lady who prepared a great lunch where we tasted ugali, beef stew, bananas cooked,veg cooked, pilau rice, fruits and tasted the local Kilimanjaro beer. What a beautiful day! A day to remember.

Nice tour with top guides. Spotted monkeys, squirrels, birds, butterflies and a huge owl. Ended the trip with a splendid local buffet by mama Mtalo!
