• 5Best choice to improve your kite skills

  I had some kite lessons with Gabriel from Explora Watersports to improve my kite level. Gabriel is not only a very good kite instructor but, moreover, he really cares for and supports his clients. Regarding my progress in kiting he gave me many useful tips so that I was able to improve my skills. Besides that, he was always reachable and even supported me in regards of questions about buying a new board or kite gear. In my opinion, this is excellent customer service, I really appreciated it and highly recommend Explora Watersports for taking kite lessons or renting kite gear in Tarifa.

• 5Fantastic introduction to kitesurfing

  I did a beginner’s lesson. Just wanted to get an idea of what kitesurfing is about. Great experience, just on the beach learning about controlling the kite and feeling the wind was amazing! My instructor was very clear, patient and reassuring. I can’t wait to continue and get out on the water!

  Took 3 days of kitesurfing lessons early september. Securing the lessons was really easy and Marta was very responsive. Americo was my instructor and he was excellent! Very clear in his lessons and on the water guiding you through the best way to manage the kite and board. I got on the board very quickly and got a great taste for kitesurfing! Will be back for sure.

• 5Best kite surfing school I have ever experienced!

  We spent a week with Explora Watersports and took lessons for me and for my 2 sons (12 and 17 years). Since we had lessons with 3 other kite schools in the last years we can confidently say that we had the best experience and learning progress. Before we arrived in Tarifa my younger son had already decided to give up and not practice kitesurfing anymore. The individual way the instructors (Gabi and Marcel) motivated him, raised his confidence level and he started enjoying kite surfing again - this time over the water ;). They have also an amazing spot with private parking and shower facilities close to the beach. For sure you will feel their “customer first” approach! Summary: 1. Professional 2. Customer oriented and ready to accommodate special requests 3. Lovely friends rather than business people

  Our favorite part of the lerning how to kitesurf is that we both learnd how to do it en less then a week(2 days), this experince will be memorable and will come back someday to do it again .

About Tarifa

Tarifa is a walled white town at the southern tip of Spain, on the Strait of Gibraltar, known for wind, kitesurfing beaches and views of Morocco.

Tarifa stands at the southernmost point of mainland Spain and Europe, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean in the Strait of Gibraltar, only about 14 km from Africa at the narrowest point. The old town is enclosed by Moorish walls and entered through the Puerta de Jerez, and the castle of Guzmán el Bueno, which began as a tenth-century Moorish fortress, overlooks the harbour.
