The day begins in Castle Combe, which is surely one of the most photographed villages in all of England. Little has changed here since the 15th century - no street lights or TV aerials. This mediaeval gem is famous for its picturesque cottages and babbling brook. Nestled in a wooded Cotswold valley, Castle Combe has been a favourite Hollywood filming location over the years for movies including War Horse, Stardust and Doctor Dolittle.
Cirencester is a vibrant town in the heart of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Beauty and affectionately known as the ‘Capital of the Cotswolds. Founded by the Romans, a powerful Abbey in the Middle Ages, and a thriving market town for centuries ever since. Explore the many independent stores, colourful lanes and impressive church.
Stop for a traditional lunch in an historic country inn. Thereafter we continue our journey through the heart of the Cotswolds by visiting some picturesque, hand-picked villages and locations, which are deliberately kept secret. We will avoid the now overrun locations, which have been affected by mass tourism from London. Trust our local expertise to show you the real Cotswolds, give you a unique experience, and to stay ahead of the tour buses and bloggers!
The Cotswolds is famous for it’s quintessentially English country gardens – this peaceful location (also a secret) will certainly charm you. Please note, an alternative stop will be suggested during the shoulder autumn/winter season!

About Bath
Bath, in the west of England, is a Georgian spa city of honey-coloured stone, built around natural hot springs first used by the Romans.
Bath's hot springs were first enclosed by the Romans, who built a temple and bathhouse complex here in the first century, now the Roman Baths museum beside Bath Abbey. In the eighteenth century the city rebuilt itself as a fashionable spa in pale local limestone, and the terraces and crescents designed by John Wood the Elder and the Younger, including the Circus and the Royal Crescent, give it its look. The whole city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Top-ranked sights in Bath: Roman Baths, Royal Crescent, The Circus.
