Pompeii was lost for nearly 1,700 years, partially destroyed and buried under ash and pumice after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. During the visit, you will see remarkably preserved remains of daily life at the time of the eruption. Explore ancient baths, bakeries, the arena, and even the brothel, while learning what people ate, how they dressed, and how they lived in Roman times. After the visit, the tour continues to a traditional vineyard for a light lunch. Return to your accommodation or the designated meeting point in Sorrento in the early afternoon.
