Meet your guide below the obelisk and enjoy an introduction to the surroundings and the exterior facade of the Pantheon before entering it.
Explore Rome’s best-preserved monument with an expert guide. Find out all the details that go unnoticed by most tourists and discover the engineering secrets of this Roman Temple dedicated to all the Gods. Be surprised by its miraculously preserved interiors and admire the largest Dome in the Ancient world. Marvel at the beauty of its proportions, just as Michelangelo did when he first saw this architectural jewel, and discover the pagan rationale behind them. Walk through the Corinthian columns brought in all the way from Egypt and step on the original marble floor of the temple. Learn about the later use as a Christian church and as a resting place for Christian martyrs, Italian royals, and famous artists such as Raphael himself. If you prefer, you can extend your guided experience with another 40-minute tour of the surrounding squares and churches (listed below). Choose this option during your booking.
OPTIONALLY, you can further explore the squares and churches surrounding the Pantheon in another 40-minute tour in the company of your guide. The visited attractions are listed below. You can add this option during the process of booking. Start your exploration with Piazza della Minerva. Be fascinated by its history and admire the "Elephant and Obelisk" sculpture designed by Bernini.
Stroll around the cobbled streets and find yourself in front of the giant columns of the Temple of Hadrian, just around the corner. Appreciate the fusion of Ancient and Modern architecture.
Enjoy glimpses of local life in the authentic Roman alleys and end your tour in Piazza Navona. Take a moment to admire the Baroque masterpieces in the square by Bernini and Borromini and appreciate the details of "Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi".
