Your first dive, after class, will be at MUSA (Museo de Arte Subacuático). MUSA is an underwater statue installation not found anywhere else in the world. Pocna Dive Center is the only 5-star PADI IDC center on Isla Mujeres. All of our instructors and guides are trained to the highest standard. Safety is a huge priority of ours, as is delivering an experience of a lifetime. Prepare to be blown away by the beauty that lies under the waves!

5Amazing diving experience at PocNa
We have just returned from our Discover Scuba Diving trip with PocNa. It was fabulous! I have dived before but not for 10+ years and I wanted my sons (15 and 18) to try Scuba for the first time. There are cheaper places advertised online but PocNa is a 5* PADI centre and it showed. We had to complete the online training before starting the training session in the pool. Following that, we headed to the boat for the first of two dives. The first was at MUSA - the underwater art gallery artificial reef - which was incredible. The second was at a nearby coral reef. We saw a couple of sharks, barracuda, eels and the highlight was a sea turtle that swam over to check us out. Our guide, Danny, did a great job and we felt safe at all times. I can’t recommend PocNa highly enough if you are visiting Isla Mujeres.
5Felt safe and well taken care of
This was my third dive ever. The level of expertise and professionalism was beyond my expectations. My guide, Ruben, was extremely attentive to me during the pool instruction phase, and even more so during the two dives, always checking with me if things were ok. The equipment was in great shape. It was a beautiful experience where I felt safe and well taken care of.

The highlight was exploring the incredible underwater MUSA museum—such a unique and unforgettable experience. Reuben, my instructor, made the whole experience so perfect. He motivated me to want to get certified and helped me transform my fear to fun.

Ruben was a great instructor for us as inexperienced divers. He was very patient during each step of the experience and helped us feel safe throughout by answering questions and going at our pace. We appreciated his ability to prepare us for the dive while also managing all of our equipment for us. Would go back and dive with them if back on the island.
5First to remember
As a first time diver, I was both excited and a little nervous about taking the plunge, but thanks to Ruben it turned out to be one of the most incredible experiences of my life! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel at ease. They explained every step with Care answered all my questions and made sure I was confident before getting in the water. Once underwater, it was pure magic. The vibrant marine life, the feeling of weightlessness and the sheer beauty of the ocean left me speechless. Ruben stayed close the entire time, constantly checking in and guiding me with gentle encouragement. I never once felt unsafe or unsure. What really stood out was the passionate enthusiasm from the whole team. They didn’t just take us diving. They gave me a memory that will last a lifetime If you’re thinking about trying scuba diving for the first time, I would highly recommend this company. Thank you for making my first dive so special!

- All tours meet at the Pocna Dive Center in the Selina Hostel. Please remember to bring sun protection and apply your reef-safe sunscreen before boarding the boat. Once on the boat, sunscreen application is no longer allowed in order to protect the delicate ecosystem of the national park.

About Isla Mujeres
Isla Mujeres is a small Caribbean island off Cancún, with a calm town beach, a sculpture-dotted southern cliff and warm shallow water for snorkelling.
Isla Mujeres lies a few kilometres off the Yucatán coast opposite Cancún, a narrow island about seven kilometres long with the town at its northern end. The Spanish named it the Isle of Women in 1517 after finding clay figures of goddesses there. Golf carts and bicycles are the usual way to get around, and Playa Norte, a shallow beach of white sand and calm turquoise water, fronts the town.
