見どころ
The Baar, named Cultural Heritage of the city, has been declared of Tourist Interest by the Intendence of Montevideo and Cultural Interest by the Ministry of Education and Culture in recognition of its historical, cultural value and its living contribution to the Montevidean identity. The tables and the historic counter were attended by key figures of Rio Plata tango. Among them, Carlos Gardel, who visited the bar during his stay in Montevideo, tried the traditional Uvita and according to the history of the place, came to sing informally for those who were present. That anecdote is a living part of identity and mystique. This is an authentic, cultural and close proposal to live tango from the inside, in a place where history, music and tradition continue to beat every night.

About Montevideo
Montevideo is Uruguay's relaxed capital on the Río de la Plata, with an old-town peninsula, a long seafront promenade and a love of grilled meat.
Montevideo spreads along the north shore of the Río de la Plata, where the river is as wide as a sea. The Ciudad Vieja, the old town on a small peninsula, is where the city began in the 1720s, a district of Art Deco and colonial buildings. Plaza Independencia opens onto it, with the Palacio Salvo tower and the statue and mausoleum of José Artigas, the national hero, and the Teatro Solís, opened in 1856, stands nearby.
Top-ranked sights in Montevideo: Rambla of Montevideo (Rambla de Montevideo), Montevideo Independence Plaza (Plaza Independencia), Montevideo Port Market (Mercado del Puerto).
