  • 3Ok but can’t recommend.

Not a lot to see in Ketchikan on this tour but our guide Sierra was top notch despite her groaner jokes. Seats were very cramped for tall people.

  • 5This was an awesome...

This was an awesome experience! Great way to see the sights, learn some history, and get a huge dose of terribly awesome Dad Jokes! Abigail was our tour guide and Frank was the driver and they were fantastic, engaging and funny! Would absolutely recommend!

  • 5great town tour

We are duck tour lovers so this is not our first and won’t be our last. We were fortunate enough to have a Ketchikan local Ellie to be our guide and she was very knowledgeable about the town’s history. The only thing I miss is no quackers till the end, I get it, the poor driver must go insane listening to that all day but that’s part of the experience for me.

  • 4Fun time but bad meet directions

Nice tour of Ketchikan although there was some down time where the guide could’ve provided a lot more info about the city. Too much silence imo. She was very nice but wasn’t able to answer many questions. Biggest annoyance was meet location of 131 Front Street followed by meet at berth 1-4 which leaves about 1/2 mile of possible meet locations with hundreds of other cruise guests wandering around. Some official said we were in the right spot then 5 mins before tour time we got a phone call telling us where to go which left us the most front seat on the duck with obstructed views.

  • 5Greet time in Ketchikan

We had a fantastic time on the Duck Tour! It was a fun and entertaining way to see Ketchikan from both land and water. Sierra was an outstanding narrator—knowledgeable, funny, energetic, and engaging throughout the entire tour. She shared fascinating local history and kept everyone entertained from beginning to end. We highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re visiting Ketchikan on a cruise. Be sure to ask for Sierra—she made the experience truly memorable!

  • 3Viator gave us the wrong meetup location.

If you book through Viator, they give you the WRONG location!! They told us to meet at the Pier Ketchikan Cruise Pier, 131 Front St, Ketchikan, AK 99901, USA. We went there and then were told to go to berth 4 which was a 20 minute walk! We barely got there in time and as a result got stuck in the back of the boat. FIx your damn instructions. The tour itself was fine but I'm giving 3 stars due to this problem. Viator and the tour operator need to fix this.

About Ketchikan

Ketchikan, in the Alaska Panhandle, is a rainy fishing town of stilted boardwalks and totem poles, set among the forests and fjords of the Inside Passage.

Ketchikan clings to the shore of Revillagigedo Island in Southeast Alaska, squeezed between steep forested hills and the water of the Inside Passage. Houses and boardwalks stand on stilts above Ketchikan Creek, where Creek Street, a lane of old buildings on pilings, once formed the red-light district. The town calls itself the salmon capital of the world, and the creek fills with spawning salmon in late summer.

Top-ranked sights in Ketchikan: Tongass National Forest, Creek Street, Saxman Native Village.
