We will start this tour with a ride along the South Jeddah Corniche which is a 45 km coastal resort area of the city of Jeddah. Located along the Red Sea, the corniche features the coastal road, recreation areas, pavilions, and large-scale civic sculptures for all to enjoy and take pictures as well as King Fahd’s Fountain, the highest fountain in the world. We will then take you to Tahlia Street, that is an important fashion and shopping street in the mid-town of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It contains many upscale department shops, and boutiques. We will stop at an Arabian coffee to take a break in a good local coffee shop. About Jeddah
Jeddah, on the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia, is an old trading port and the gateway to Mecca, with a historic district of coral-stone houses.
Jeddah has been a port on the Red Sea since ancient times, and a landing point for pilgrims travelling to Mecca, which lies to the east. Al-Balad, its old quarter and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, preserves tall coral-stone houses with carved wooden balconies, called roshan, and narrow lanes, and the souks around them still trade in spices, textiles and perfume.
