4Good experience but not great.
Barbara was very knowledgeable about Bari and very friendly. We enjoyed the walk around town. Too many people in the group, started late which we didn't expect. Recommend with reservations due to above.
5Great intro to Bari
Great intro to the old town and history of Bari. Anna was very personable and managed a group of 15 with ease.
3Ok tour
Ok tour but lacks depth of knowledge from tour guide to share history and interest areas more fully. Compared to other tours we’ve experienced completed in matera and Lecce not as knowledgeable
1Received little value from tour
My husband and I did not enjoy the tour. We left the tour after one hour and got more out of wandering around by ourselves. First, we were informed, after the time for free cancellation, that our 3 o’clock tour would be at 5 o’clock. We had a mixed language group, English and Italian, which meant every explanation had to be in 2 languages. Towards the beginning of the tour, we stopped for gelato, which took about 10 minutes, then we went to a church, where we were given 15 minutes to tour on our own. The guide provided little value above what we could have read online while touring.
4My 2 hour introduction to Bari
The Velo tours office is a great setup, staff were super friendly. Our guide (Ana) had a really nice demeanour and took a lot of pleasure sharing interesting insights and stories about Bari with the group. I did this as I needed to kill a few hours whilst waiting for my daughter who was participating in the Trofeo CONI, will likely return to Bari with the family when we come back to Italia.
4Bari Walking Tour
Our guide Barbara was humorous and knowledgeable. Arrangements good and pace of trip good. Would have liked a slightly longer trip which is a good sign.

About Bari
Bari is the port city of Puglia on the Adriatic, with a maze-like old town, a medieval basilica holding the relics of St Nicholas and a long seafront.
Bari's old town, Bari Vecchia, is a tangle of white lanes and tiny squares on a peninsula pointing into the Adriatic, and many of its streets feel more like shared courtyards. The Basilica of San Nicola, begun in 1087 to house the relics of St Nicholas, draws both Catholic and Orthodox pilgrims, and the cathedral and the Swabian castle stand close by.
