Tour to discover a particular and unknown moment in the history of Assisi. Men and women who inspired by the courage of St. Francis have decided to put their own lives at stake to save that of others. The protagonists have names little known even to the Assisans themselves but they make up an epic picture of the "seraphic" city between 1943 and 1945. Tour in which we will reconstruct history and relive the dark atmosphere of that period, however, illuminated by the light of hope ...

Assisi, in Umbria, is a pink-stone hill town and pilgrimage centre, the birthplace of St Francis and home to a basilica covered in frescoes.
Assisi spreads across the slope of Mount Subasio, its buildings of pale pink and white limestone. The Basilica of St Francis, built in the thirteenth century over the saint's tomb, has two churches stacked one above the other, with frescoes by Giotto and his circle and by Cimabue. The basilica and the town form a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
