Danakil Depression is one of the most extreme and otherworldly places on Earth. Located in the Afar region of Ethiopia, it is the lowest point on the continent and is home to a variety of geological wonders, including active volcanoes, salt lakes, and lava fields. 5Outstanding 3 Days Danakil depression Tour
We recently completed a 3-day Danakil Depression tour with Enat Ethiopia Tours as a group of 21 travelers from Austria and Germany, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized. Our guide and organizer, Ashu, demonstrated exceptional professionalism, excellent communication, and extensive knowledge of the region. Every detail—from transportation and accommodation to meals and safety—was carefully planned, allowing us to enjoy this extraordinary destination with complete peace of mind. The itinerary was fantastic, taking us to the breathtaking Erta Ale Volcano, the colorful geothermal landscapes of Dallol, the vast salt flats, and offering the opportunity to experience the unique culture of the Afar people. 5A journey to another planet with the best tour agency in Ethiopia!
We visited the Danakil Depression as part of our honeymoon in Ethiopia, and it was one of the most incredible travel experiences we've ever had. The landscapes of Dallol were unlike anything we've seen before—bright colors, surreal formations, and scenery that truly felt like another planet. Seeing Erta Ale and sleeping under the stars was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will never forget. We chose Enat Ethiopia Tours after comparing many different tour companies, and it turned out to be the best decision. The organization was excellent from start to finish. Everything ran smoothly, and we always felt safe and well taken care of despite the challenging conditions of the Danakil region. A special thank you to Ashu for planning everything perfectly and being flexible whenever we had questions or requests. We were also welcomed at the airport by Asfaw ("Pogba"), whose kindness and professionalism immediately put us at ease. I recently completed a 7-day tour covering Addis Ababa, Lalibela, and the Danakil Depression, and I had an amazing experience with Enat Tours. From the beginning, the communication and organization were excellent. The team handled airport pickups, domestic flights, accommodations, and transfers smoothly, which made the trip stress-free. Our guides were knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly. In Lalibela, they explained the history and spiritual importance of the rock-hewn churches in a way that made the experience unforgettable. The cultural experiences, local food, and coffee ceremonies were also highlights of the trip. The Danakil Depression expedition was the most adventurous part of the journey. Despite the extreme conditions and long drives, everything was well organized and safe. Visiting Dallol, the salt flats, and Erta Ale volcano felt like being on another planet. We were a group of 10 people from Austria traveling with Ashu to the Danakil Depression for a geological field trip, and it was truly a fantastic experience.
